CIM Matters Podcast
In many ways it could be argued that Web 2.0 and Social Media is the ultimate form of Collaborative Information Management (CIM) systems.
Internally it enables engagement between ‘silos’ of employees, functions and departments so helping knowledge sharing and productivity.
Externally CIM helps a company establish and develop enhanced relationships with customers and business partners. It provides companies with valuable lines of communication to customers so they can help shape the services and relationships they want with an organisation.
In these podcasts we talk to people and organisations that are using Web 2.0 and social media to proactively shape relationships in the future. |

We spoke to Dominic Campbell of FutureGov Consultancy about the current adoption of Social Media/Web 2.0’s by Local Government. He highlighted that many are ready to implement but have not as they have yet to reach the ‘tipping point’ due to a variety of factors. Fear of making a mistake and opening a ‘Pandora’s Box’ seems to be the main issues. He mentions the transformation agenda as addressed in the film UsNow as being a ‘best practice’ standard.
